May 30, 200= 8 - DÛSSELDORF (drupa 2008) - Xanté is demonstrating a = design concept for a large format process-free, chemical-free polyester CTP system here at drupa. The PlateMa= ker 5 XL is a total prepress system which images 16-up polyester plates and paper proofs up to 914 mm x 1219 mm (36" x 48&quo= t;). Powered by Xant&= eacute; OpenRIP Symphony 3.0, the all-in-one PDF workfl= ow preserves file content and automates prepress ta= sks such as trapping and imposition.

Press-Ready Plates in Approximately One Minu= te

The PlateMaker 5 XL will be the ne= xt addition to the renowned PlateMaker 5 CTP serie= s. The toner-based polyester platemaking solution is e= arth friendly and requires no plate processing chemicals. =

Polyester plates up to 914 mm x 1219 mm (36" x 48") can be imaged in about one minute and placed directly on the printing press, witho= ut any further processing. The Platemaker 5 XL is designed for single color and spot color work. Plus, 16-up large format capability makes it an affordable and appealing solution for the newspaper and book publishing industry.

Xanté will demonstrate the PlateMaker 5= XL using Myriad™ Polyester Plates in bulk rolls. Produced for more than = 10 years, Myriad Polyester Plates have proven reliability and accuracy.
