February 28, 2008 - Mobile,= AL and Miami, FL - Xanté and SMART Papers h= ave teamed up to offer an extensive collection of SMART Papers' premium heavy s= tock and specialty papers for use on the new Xanté Ilumina® 502 digital color press. As a result of = this collaboration, Ilumina digital press owners wil= l be able to offer their customers a wide variety of substrates previously unavailable for short-run applications. Ultra heavy paper print work, traditionally the province of large volume offset printers, can now be achi= eved affordably and with the highest quality, on demand in the short-run digital world.

The Xanté Ilumina 502 Digital Color Press occupies a unique place in the digital laser market because of its ability to handle a wide range of paper weights, from text weight to ultra heavy cover, 75 to 502 gsm. The= new Ilumina can now deliver what may be the most expansive range of output in its class, from premium four-color business cards, postcards, t-shirt transfers, label stock, direct mail pieces and brochures= to more specialized products such as packaging.

SMART Papers' products, sized for use on the Ilumina 502, push creative opportunities even further. The super-premium coated and premium uncoated line includes a broad range of gloss and matte coated prod= ucts, metallic, and uncoated fiber-enhanced papers of varying textures. SMART Pap= ers' wide array of colors and textures include environmentally friendly selectio= ns made with sustainable and/or recycled fibers.
