Chicago (Graph Expo); September 9, 2007 -HumanEyes
Technologies, a leading lenticular 3D software developer, and Fujifilm
Graphic Systems U.S.A., Inc., the largest distributor of graphics sys=
tems
products in the United States, today announce their partnership.
HumanEyes has certified the Fujifilm Acuity HD 2504 flatbed UV printer
for the production of lenticular and LensFree™ prints using
HumanEyes' market-leading lenticular software solution, PrintPro 2.0.=
The companies will together promote the 3D and lenticular printing
opportunity to Fuji's flatbed customers. HumanEyes is giving software
demonstrations and has lenticular samples available in Fujifilm booths
4406 and 4480 at Graph Expo.
Fujifilm's Steve Bennett, vice president of sales and marketing for w=
ide-
format, says, "Increasing numbers of Fujifilm owners are searchi=
ng
for new business opportunities, while also catering to their existing
customers' growing preference for the full service, 'one-stop-shop'
approach. The ability to offer both specialty printing applicat=
ions
like 3D and lenticular, along with more traditional output, gives our
customers a new and immediate revenue stream."
Bennett goes on to say that lenticular imaging is a distinctive and
attention-grabbing method of visual communication, and that studies s=
how
that increasing numbers of advertisers are looking for this
differentiation to make their messages stand out in the crowd.
"Working more closely with HumanEyes, whose outstanding 3D and
lenticular technology makes this new capability both easy to use and
profitable," he says, "gives us yet another, quite unique,
value-added capability to offer our customers."
"We are pleased to have formed this new partnership with Fujifil=
m.
Their expertise and long experience with wide-format printing, coupled
with their large distribution and logistics network, will undoubtedly
help educate an even wider audience regarding the business opportunit=
ies
3D and lenticular offer," says Duby Hodd, CEO, HumanEyes
Technologies.
"With the latest generation of flatbed UV presses like the Fujif=
ilm
Acuity HD 2504, it is now easier, faster and more profitable than eve=
r to
produce 3D and lenticular materials," Hodd continues. "Pair=
ing
this innovative press with our PrintPro 2.0 software equips print
providers to explore the exciting capabilities of lenticular printing=
on
multiple substrates, and to add new services for expanded
revenues."
HumanEyes representatives also say that the very high print resolution
and high geometric accuracy of the Fujifilm Acuity HD 2504 flatbed
printer delivers the flexibility to print lenticular graphics either =
on a
lenticular sheet or directly onto glass or acrylic using HumanEyes'
LensFreeTM technology.
The Fujifilm Acuity HD 2504
The Fujifilm Acuity HD 2504 is the latest breakthrough in wide-format=
UV
digital imaging technology. Specifically designed for print applicati=
ons
requiring finely detailed, high-resolution images, the Acuity HD 2504
produces both rigid and flexible point-of-purchase signage that hold =
up
visually, even at the closest of viewings.
At the heart of the Acuity HD 2504 is new imaging technology that
supports variable-sized dots, as opposed to traditional, fixed-size
droplets. The printer's ability to jet droplets as fine as 6 picolete=
rs
produces sharp, precise images with smoother transitions and quarter
tones, while jetting larger droplets up to 30 picoleters delivers den=
ser,
more uniform solid image areas. The result is image quality usually s=
een
at resolutions of 1,200 dpi or higher with crisper, more legible type,
even as low as 6pt.
HumanEyes PrintPro 2.0 and LensFreeTM Technology
HumanEyes' PrintPro 2.0 is a powerful core lenticular & 3D techno=
logy
that allows printers to open, modify and print files in the efficient
ldoc (lenticular document) format. The software's powerful production
tools suite lets printers make final adjustments to effects and colors
easily and efficiently. New LensFreeTM technology now available in
PrintPro 2.0 offers the ability to print 3D effects and 2D animation
directly on plain glass or acrylic media, as an alternative to using
lenticular material.
In short, PrintPro 2.0 maximizes printers' productivity and profitabi=
lity
by streamlining lenticular production and making it more predictable,
accessible and cost-effective.
